Terms of service
Effective 8 October 2026
These terms cover your use of the Treye app. By signing in, you agree to them.
What Treye is
Treye is an eye test on your phone. It uses the phone's camera, microphone and screen, and an AI voice, to check how well you see and to write a report. It is a screening tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose any condition, it does not prescribe glasses, lenses or treatment, and it does not replace an examination by an eye care professional.
Treye is AI and can make mistakes. Check with an eye care professional before making decisions about your eyes. If your eyes hurt, your sight changes suddenly, or you see flashes or a curtain over your vision, see a doctor at once and do not rely on Treye.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google, and you must be an adult to hold an account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the details you enter, including those of family members you test, and you must have their permission to test them and keep their results.
Using Treye fairly
Use Treye for its purpose: testing your own eyes and those of people who have agreed to it. Do not try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, get into another person's data, or use it to build a competing product.
Cost
Treye is free to use.
Your data
Your reports are yours. How Treye handles them is set out in the privacy policy. You can delete a report, or your whole account, from the app at any time.
Changes and availability
Treye may change, pause or end the service or these terms. When the terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and continuing to use Treye after that means you accept it.
No warranty
Treye is provided as it is. Results depend on the phone, the light, how you hold the phone and how you answer, and Treye makes no promise that any result is correct or that the service will always be available.
Limits on responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Treye is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of a result, or for any indirect or consequential loss from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
